How to convert gbp to usd in interactive brokers

Hi all, I've recently opened an account with Interactive Brokers and been considering the best way to fund it with USD. As I understand, they have BPAY but this is only for transferring AUD into IB, which they will keep it as AUD.

Using GBP to buy USD/EUR ETF with Interactive Brokers. Investment. The amount I have is in GBP and I am wondering if I do a SEPA to my IB account whether I would then need to convert the GBP to USD or EUR depending on which ETF I choose.
